Rebecca Li

After working as a lawyer at an international law firm for 6 years, Rebecca pursued her long term interest by completing postgraduate studies in psychology at The University of Hong Kong (which she passed with distinction).  She then proceeded to pursue her passion in helping children from all backgrounds and of all abilities by studying play therapy. Through play therapy, Rebecca empowers children to flourish despite challenging circumstances (such as difficulties at school, bullying, illnesses, changes in the family) by helping them to become more resilient, develop problem solving skills and have a more positive outlook in life.

Rebecca is the primary author of a research study that investigates the relationship between play and social/ emotional abilities in children (under final review for publication in an international academic journal).

In her spare time, Rebecca has an active role in counselling and providing academic/ emotional support to children who are returning to school after having recovered from life-threatening diseases.  She is also a Baby Bonding and a Parent-Child Attachment Play practitioner.

Rebecca is supervised by Dr. Pandora Ng in her play therapy practice.
